Kathryn Temple

Kathryn Temple, JD, PhD, and English Department chair at Georgetown from 2009 to 2015, is completing a book on the poetics of eighteenth-century law that focuses on the relationship between affect and institutional structures. She is the recent recipient of a year-long NEH fellowship. As the primary investigator on the Mellon Foundation grant “Connected Academics” she leads a collaborative team exploring new models for the PhD in the humanities.
