Nicoletta Pireddu
Nicoletta Pireddu is Professor of Italian and Comparative Literature at Georgetown University, and the current director of the FLL Hager Scholars Program Colloquium. Her research focuses on European literary and cultural relations, critical theory, translation studies, interdisciplinary approaches to literature, and questions of borders, national and transnational identities, Her articles have appeared in journals like Comparative Literature, Gothic Studies, Romanic Review, Research in African Literatures, Journal of European Studies, The Translator, and Profession. She has authored several volumes, most recently The Works of Claudio Magris: Temporary Homes, Mobile Identities, European Borders (Palgrave 2015). She is completing a book on literary representations of the European consciousness, sponsored by fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Howard Foundation at Brown University.
